About this policy
This policy explains how Valmir handles information when you use the Valmir iOS app. Valmir is a manual personal finance tracker. Adding a record does not contact a bank, transfer money, or make a payment.
Information stored on your device
The financial details you enter—such as accounts, balances, income, expenses, categories, budgets, bills, subscriptions, card purchases, installments, and savings goals—are stored locally in the app’s database. Your optional display name, profile image, language, currency, and app preferences are also stored on your device. Profile images are kept in the app’s local storage and are not uploaded by Valmir.
Valmir does not require an account and does not send these financial records to a Valmir server.
Device security
The app can use Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode for its app lock. Apple’s operating system performs biometric authentication; Valmir does not receive or store your biometric data. Valmir does not separately encrypt its SQLite financial database. iOS device security and file protection may protect app files according to your device settings.
Purchases
Apple processes in-app purchases through the App Store. Valmir checks the purchase entitlement and stores a protected, limited offline entitlement record in the iOS Keychain. This record is separate from your financial data and is not included in financial backups. Valmir does not store your payment card details.
Backups and exports
You can export financial information as JSON backups, CSV files, or reports. These files are not encrypted by Valmir and may contain readable personal financial information. You choose where to save or share them, including a location such as iCloud Drive through Apple’s Files app. Valmir does not automatically sync financial data to iCloud. You are responsible for the files after saving or sharing them.
Notifications and other services
Optional reminders and budget alerts are scheduled locally on your device. Valmir does not use advertising, analytics, tracking, bank connections, or social sign-in in the iOS app. Apple processes App Store purchases under Apple’s own privacy terms.
Retention, deletion, and contact
Your records remain on your device until you delete them, remove the app, or otherwise clear its local data. Removing the app does not delete backup files you previously saved elsewhere. Delete those files separately from their chosen storage location. Valmir has no server copy of your financial records to delete. For privacy questions, contact usevalmir@gmail.com.
